Speaking at The Economist's Pride & Prejudice event in Modern York, she said: "It did impact my career, it was difficult.

"It was not easy. I was the only one productive in this way, so it was definitely complex because no one had done it.

"I did that even though everyone told me it would termination my career, without a doubt."

"When I learn someone comment about me coming out, I ponder it's funny because I was never in," she said.

Depp won the defamation lawsuit he filed accusing Heard of defaming him in a Washington Post op-ed in which she did not name him but r

While speaking at the second annual Pride & Prejudice Summit in New York Urban area (via People), Heard recalled the moment she admitted to everyone that she is bisexual. “Well, I always say in response – when I hear someone comment about me coming out, I think it’s funny because I was never in. In part because I was very stubborn, I guess, and also in part because I just didn’t feel it was wrong,” she said.

Talking about how coming out impacted her career, Heard said that a lot of producers told her things will became more difficult if she comes out. “I was the only one working in this way, so it was definitely difficult because no one had done it. I did that even though everyone told me that it would end my career, without a doubt. I rolled my eyes at that and I said, ‘Watch me do it,’ and I did,” she said.
