Participants representing Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) walked alongside the cars on the parade map, joining hundreds of thousands of revelers to support and celebrate the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Double attraction, Transgender, Queer) community over the weekend. This was PCNA’s first year participating in Atlanta Pride events.

“Porsche Cars North America values an inclusive community based on acceptance,” said Erika Burk, Vice President of Human Resources for PCNA. “We aim to back our employees and social causes impacting the Atlanta society and beyond, and are honored to have taken a small part in such a meaningful celebration.” Burk connected Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of PCNA, Angus Fitton, Vice President of Public Relations, and Simon Kuhnimhof, Vice President of Customer Experience, to direct PCNA employees, family and friends in the parade.


DEARBORN -- In an unusual move for a U.S. automaker, Ford Motor Co.&#;s Jaguar brand is launching an advertising campaign targeting gay consumers, the company said Tuesday.

The campaign germinated from a major internal learning at Ford and Jaguar on how to contact gay consumers, which care for to be fairly affluent with a taste for luxury goods. Ford estimates there are some 14 million gay and sapphic consumers in the Together States who wield $ billion in purchasing force.

"They spend more money on luxury cars and they have more money to spend," said Simon Sproule, a spokesman for Jaguar. "They are very loyal to brands and organizations that converse to them in a way that is relevant."

Automobile advertisements aimed at gay consumers are fairly common in Europe, Australia and other markets, but are rare in the United States.

Jaguar, the Ford-owned maker of British luxury cars, discovered in recent years that many gay consumers were visiting its dealer showrooms.

Beginning later this month, Jaguar will begin running print ads in magazines that achieve the gay


Perhaps I am way off base, but in direct to even be considered a "lesbian car" (let alone an "ultimate queer woman car"), adequate bumper, trunk,tailgate, and rear window room MUST be available for all of the required signage that goes along with being a queer woman .

I often wondered if a plan-o-gram was sent out to members of the gay/lesbian people indicating proper placement of those rainbow flags, pink triangles, "hate is not a family value," etc. stickers from an organizational leader or the prefer.

I think that narrows it down to cars like Honda sedans and wagons, Volvo wagons, Suzuki Vitaras, Geo Trackers (and all other vehicle -- like SUVs), and, of course, Saturns.

My vote would leave to the Volvo wagon based on the above criteria.
